About this tour
The Grand Bazaar has more than four thousand shops and closes on Sundays. It is easy to get lost in and easier still to overpay; the difference is knowing which lanes are for visitors and which are for people who live here.
Afterwards we walk down to the Spice Bazaar, open every day, and into the streets around it — where the same spices and the same lokum cost something else. Along the way: tea, Turkish coffee, and whatever is fresh that day.
