About this tour
Istanbul has two airports on opposite sides of the city: Istanbul (IST) in Europe and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) in Asia. From the first to the historic centre is about forty-five minutes without traffic; from the second it can be twice that.
The first hour in a city you don't know, after twelve in the air and with the clock moved, is when things go wrong. This is the easy part to settle before you arrive.
